Babin -

a village in Poland Voivodeship Lublin, Lublin C ounty, in the municipality Bełżyce. In the 1975-1998 administra tive village belonged to the regional capital Lublin. The village took place on one of the battles of the November Uprising (April 17, 1831). Formerly known as Babino, Babyn Martyna, Babyn Petri. For the first time mentioned in the documents, Prince Ladislaus the Short of 1311 years (the oldest documented village in the municipality Bełżyce), which gave her immunity from the court so that it was easy to transfer it to the German law.
